Overview… reservation
The Xena testers support multiple simultaneous connections from any mixture of clients, whether using the XenaManager or scripting.
As soon as a connection has provided the password for the chassis any port of the tester can be inspected.
But in order to configure ports they must first be reserved. The same applies to changing the configuration of the chassis itself and its modules: they must first be reserved. At most one client connection can have a particular resource reserved:
Reserved ports are shown using bold-face in the left-side navigation area.
Before making reservations you must specify a user name. Then you can either reserve, release, or relinquish ports.
